What is richard beeman?

Richard Beeman (1942-2016) was an American historian and constitutional scholar. He received his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College and his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago. He was a professor of History at the University of Pennsylvania for over 40 years. Beeman was a prolific author, writing several books on various aspects of American history, including the American Revolution and the Constitution. He was also a respected commentator on contemporary issues related to American politics and government. Beeman was awarded the George Washington Book Prize in 2010 for his book "Plain, Honest Men: The Making of the American Constitution." He passed away in 2016 due to complications from a stroke.
